Why do the advertised prices differ from the actual charging cost?

Understanding Libon electricity top-up pricing

Updated today

Why is there a difference between the price I paid and the value recharged?

The amounts shown do not reflect the exchange rate. Therefore, it is not accurate to convert the price paid into your local currency, as this represents our sale price, not the actual amount of electricity recharged.

🛍️ The amount paid in our shop is always displayed in your currency (e.g., €, $, or £).
It reflects our sale price, which is negotiated with the electricity provider and communicated to you with complete transparency.

💰 The amount shown in the local currency (e.g., F CFA) corresponds to the value of the electricity recharge code, that is, the amount of electricity you get from the provider.

Why doesn't the number of kWh correspond to what I purchased?

Libon electricity purchases never indicate an amount in kWh, only a monetary value.

The quantity of kWh credited may vary based on several factors, such as monthly consumption and the type of meter. ⚡

For this reason, the number of kWh received for the same amount may differ slightly. If needed, your recipient can contact their electricity provider directly for more details.
