Why do we have price differences from one country to another? 🧐

It's a question that comes up a lot, which is why we'd like to explain the differences in full transparency.

When you call a phone number, we pay the local carrier for the call. For example, when you use our application to call Orange Mali numbers, we pay Orange Mali for the minutes.

The agreements with the carriers are contracts with a limited duration for each country. The more people use Libon, the more we can negotiate agreements and get the best deals.

External factors are sometimes added to the calculation of our prices: government taxes (as for DRC or Guinea, for example) or minimum prices are imposed (in the Comoros, for example). This coerces us into restrictions when setting our prices.

That's why we have different prices for each country.

You can be sure that we work very hard to obtain the best offers and keep them for as long as possible for each country. Our mission is to bring you closer to your family.
