Benin's numbering plan has changed on November 30th 2024. The phone numbers in this country now consist of 10 digits instead of 8.
It is now necessary to add "01" after the country code, and then the phone number you wish to call.
Here is the list of MTN Benin prefixes included in our Libon partner offers:

Here are all the prefixes for MTN mobiles: 42, 46, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 56, 57, 59, 61, 62, 66, 67, 69, 90, 91, 96, 97
For example:
✔️+229 01 66 12 34 56 begins with +229 66 and 66 is in this list. So it's an MTN number! ✔️
❌+229 01 65 12 34 56 starts with +229 65 and 65 is not in this list. So it's not an MTN number but a Moov number! ❌
