How can you benefit from electricity recharging after a successful purchase?

Congratulations on your successful purchase! Now, you are about to enable your recipient to benefit from prepaid electricity recharge. Here are the steps to follow as a buyer to ensure the recharge is used correctly:

Transmission of the coupon to the electricity meter owner

Please note that the recipient will not automatically receive the recharge code. It is up to you, as a Libon customer, to transmit the coupon to them. Make sure to provide the recharge code to your recipient so they can use it to recharge their prepaid electricity meter.

The code to be transmitted is available from the home screen and the purchase history. Click on your purchase and the code to be transmitted will appear:

Recharge code to send

The share button allows you to easily transmit it to your recipient.

Use of the code on the electricity meter

It is important to note that the recharge code must be used directly on the prepaid electricity meter and not in the Libon application. Make sure your recipient understands that the code must be entered on their own electricity meter. For more details, please refer to the article dedicated to this subject.

Recommended methods for transmitting the code

We advise you to use instant messaging applications such as WhatsApp or any other written conservation system to send the code to your recipient. This will allow for clear and secure communication of the recharge code.

Correspondence between the recharge code and the meter number

Please note that a recharge code purchased via Libon corresponds to an ISAGO meter number in Mali 🇲🇱, Woyofal in Senegal 🇸🇳, CI-ENERGIES aka CIE in Ivory Coast 🇨🇮, NAWEC in Gambia, SONABEL in Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, SBEE & BEDC in Benin 🇧🇯, EAGB in Guinea-Bissau 🇬🇼, CEET in Togo 🇹🇬. Make sure your recipient uses the specific recharge code that corresponds to their own meter number.

A recharge code is for single use and can only be used for the meter to which it is associated and cannot be used for a different meter.

By following these steps, you will enable your recipient to fully benefit from the prepaid electricity recharge you have purchased.
