How to use the "Local calls" feature with Libon?
To improve your experience of calls with Libon, we have come up with a new feature entitled "Local calls". This feature allows you to firstly call the number of our Libon server and it will connect you to your selected phone number.
If you have a Libon account associated with a French phone number, we invite you to test it ✨😊✨ It is available in the Settings menu of your application.

Requirements to use it:
⚠️You must have a Libon account associated with a French phone number, whose country code is +33.
⚠️You must have a plan with your carrier for unlimited calls to national numbers (in France). You call the number of our Libon server, a +33 number and you must have the possibility to make this call with your carrier plan (without being charged by the carrier for calls to a French number).
⚠️You must be in France to be able to use it. If you use it abroad, you will be making a roaming call. This will generate additional charges for roaming calls.
⚠️Do not activate the Hide my number feature in your phone settings.
Here's how you may proceed :
Contact us from the chat bubble at the bottom right so we can activate local calls on your Libon account 💬
When you receive our confirmation that the feature is enabled, open Libon and press the avatar (bottom right) -> Settings -> Enable "Local Calls". Choose one of the three options: No / Yes / Ask me.

Return to the Libon Contacts menu or to your history of calls. Choose the number you want to call and press the call button. The number of our server will connect you to your selected phone number.
On an iPhone: press the call icon and our server number will connect you to your selected phone number.

On an Android phone: select GSM call. The call screen of the native application will open after selecting the contact to call, in your Libon app. Just press the call button to start the local call to this number via our server number.


And that's it, the call is established and the duration of the call will be charged to your Libon account, not by your carrier! 🥳
Attention! Our server number will connect you to the phone numbers according to the minutes available for calls, in your Libon account. It will therefore be your purchased call minutes that will be counted, even if the connection to the call is made locally, via our phone server number.
